Thorough background checking can be time-consuming and the delays to your hiring process can be costly. We offer a simple service that does all the below checks for you on a pay-as-you-go basis, so you only pay for it when you needed. The cost per candidate is a simple flat rate of £75.

Employment reference checks
While Safer Recruitment guidelines only require the current / most recent and one other reference within the last three years, (and the most relevant role if it falls outside of this timescale) we go the extra mile by referencing all employment in the last three years to reduce the risk to your organisation.
Character reference checks
Character references can provide an impartial insight to an applicant's suitability for the role and your organisation.

We follow strict referencing
criteria and work with applicants to identify suitable referees to maintain objectivity.
Education reference checks
We reference all education within the last three years and where relevant qualifications have been achieved, we verify these also, even if they were gained outside of the three year referencing period.
Verbal reference checks
Verbal verification of all employment and character references are sought to strive to ensure that referees are genuine and there are no known safeguarding concerns about the suitability of the applicant.

Company verification checks
As part of our commitment to thorough vetting, we also undergo checks on the companies that applicants state they have worked for. This is to help identify any attempt to provide false references.

We also examine OFSTED and CQC reports for any relevant settings the applicant may have worked in.
Gap verification checks
Being prudent is key to assessing applicant suitability and sometimes gaps in employment can be an indicator of a risk.

Where applicants declare they have been unemployed, we work with them to ascertain the reason why, and what they were doing in that time of their career history.
